User:PeterSymonds/Administrator recall criteria
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is my criteria for administrator recall. If you have come here to request my recall, please begin it at my talk page and not here. Once I have been notified, and signalled my acknowledgement, please follow the instructions below. PeterSymonds (talk) 21:05, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Note: If there is a requirement to emergency desysop this account, or a request for recall was made elsewhere and received significant support (such as WP:ANI) then I will consent to forego this criteria and have the tools removed without further discussion.
- First, it is imperative that you speak to me on my talk page. If it is a certain action, please assume good faith first.
- Six editors in good standing must sign below, stating their grievance(s). By good standing, I mean at least 500 mainspace edits (or 600 edits in their particular area, for example vandal fighting.) If consensus is unclear, then a request for comment will be opened with regard to my admin actions. These six editors must add their names to this page within three days of the original request.
- A section oppose recall exists in case the six editors are acting in unlikely bad faith, for example after the result of a dispute. If there are at least 50% more oppose recall votes (from editors in good standing), with at least three administrators, then the process will be stopped.
- If consensus remains unclear, a request at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship will be opened. I will willingly stop using the tools during this time, and if I do, I give full permission to be emergency de-sysopped until the RfA is closed.
- The reconfirmation request will remain open for 1 week, just like a regular RfA.
- All those who vote "oppose" must give a reason for doing so. "Oppose" votes cast for reasons unrelated to my use of administrative tools (for example, editing disputes) will not be counted.
- Just like in a regular RfA, the bureaucrats will determine consensus. If they determine that the consensus is for me to not remain an administrator, then I will resign. If there is no consensus, then I will remain an administrator.
- In order to regain any trust that may have been lost, if my recall RfA succeeds, I will be happy to refrain from using certain tools for a certain period, decided in consultation with the six editors that originally began the recall and anyone else now involved (for example, if I improperly blocked an established user for no reason, I will give up the block tool for X weeks/months).
- No reconfirmation request may be made within 3 months of a previous reconfirmation request if it is for the same reason. If you are unhappy with the outcome, please give sufficient time for me to rectify any past behaviour. If they are for separate reasons, I will allow another reconfirmation with the same criteria above.
[edit] Support recall
Six editors must sign here within three days of the original request in order for the process to begin. The requester does not have to be an established editor. PeterSymonds (talk) 21:10, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
