The real name of "Buster from Chicago" was Sebastiano Domingo, born in 1910 in Castellammare del Glofo, murdered in May 1933 on the lower east side of Manhattan. Since Domingo lived most of his short life away from New York, he was the ideal candidate to fight for Maranzano in the Castellammare War of 1930 to 1931, since his identity was unknown to the opposing camp of Joseph Masseria. Because Domingo spent little time in New York, his identity was unknown either to the New York Police Department and to those who wrote about the War, except for Joseph Bonanno, who gave the name of Buster in his 1983 book. Followup researches confirmed that he was the man.

Joe Bonanno never gave the name of Buster, he basically said that he had no idea who it could have been and that the physical description DID NOT match his friend Domingo.... Most knowledgable crime historians have generally accepted that "Buster" was a pseudonym used by Valachi to describe deeds he did in murder charges since it has no statute of limitations.
Global crime journal tends to often state misguided facts (Maddog Coll's participation in the baby killing incident for example...) I would honestly advise doing independant research rather than reading most organized crime books and bio pieces. Supposed writers have gotten into the habit of re-stating stories read in other books that also got it wrong.. a never ending cycle.. According to the records in Saint John's Cemetery Morello's date of birth was closer to 1870 than 1880, so I changed it. JBAK 16:45, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
