Talk:Peter Dawkins (FBRT)/Comments
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is an incredibly misleading article. It includes phrases like "recognised authority" and "specialist" which make it sound as though Mr. Dawkins' theories about Francis Bacon are well accepted. Well, THEY ARE NOT! I'm currently writing an MA thesis on Fransis Bacon and I have surveryed the major academic works on him written in the last 50 years or so. Beleive me, no serious Bacon scholar would consider Mr. Dawkins theories sound. I think it should at least be mentioned in this article that Mr. Dawkins ideas are almost without exception utterly ignored in the (very extensive) current academic literature about Bacon.
I would give this article a rating of 3 out of 10, because it is dangerously misleading.
