Petras Griškevičius

Petras Griškevičius (July 19, 1924 — November 14, 1987) was a high-level government official in the Lithuanian SSR, who ruled from 1974 until his death.

Petras Griškevičius was born in Kriaunos, Rokiškis district, Lithuania.
In the beginning of WWII, he emigrated to Russia. In 1942-1943, he was the member of the 16th Rifle Division of Rokiškis district.
He was loyal for the politics of Leonid Brezhnev and indulged the russification.
He had produced 13 books in which he propagated Communist Party of the USSR and the soviet regime.
P. Griškevičius died in November 14, 1987 in Vilnius.
