Peter Penny

Peter Penny has a name that sounds like a joke, and joined the corporate communications industry over 30 years ago and has specialized in the conception and production of events, product launches and road shows for many multi national clients such as Inland Revenue, DTI, Directorate General Regional Policy for the EU, FCO & DG ten in the Public sector, and IBM, Ford, Peugeot, BA, Mobil, BT, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Xerox in the Private sector Mittal Steel and Arcelor Mittal. He has supervised communications programmes, which have been distributed to as many as 70,000 staff globally, in as many as 28 languages for a single communiqué. Currently communicating with 400,000 staff for Arcelor Mittal.

Peter was seconded to Colin Marshal’s Team and was responsible for the staff communication in the British Airways/British Caledonian merger.

Peter has held board positions in a number of high profile agency groups such as Purchasepoint, part of the Lopex group (now Skybridge Corp), Saatchi & Saatchi – MMA and HP-ICM. Peter founded The CONNECTiON Group in London & Brussels in 1994 with specific intention to focus on an expanding pan European communication need and utilising convergent technologies and new media. For six-years advising the Commission office for Regional Policy and Structural Funds DG Regio in communication strategies for the European Enlargement Programme.
