Peter Kerr (b. Scotland) is a Scottish political scientist. He is a lecturer at University of Birmingham where he specializes in British Politics, as well as Political sociology, state theory and theories of social and political change.
Kerr's most important work is Postwar British Politics: From Conflict to Consensus (ISBN 0415232759) which has proven a hit for students with its quirky style. He was the protege of Colin Hay and David Marsh, who are the leading lights on the British Political Science scene.
