Dr. Peter "Pete" Wilder is a character on the Grey's Anatomy spinoff, Private Practice. He is played by actor Tim Daly.[1]
[edit] Character History
Pete works at the Oceanside Wellness Centre as an alternative medicine doctor. He has said to have gone through medical school and then have spent five years in China learning alternative medicine. He is also a licenced herbalist. During her visit, after telling him that she is infertile, Pete kisses Addison Montgomery to remind her that she is not "dried up". Addison is interested in pursuing a relationship with him but backs off after learning from her mutual friend with Pete, Sam Bennett, that Pete was married, but his wife died eight years prior. Because of this, Sam claims that Pete is unable to connect with women, making it impossible to be coupled with him. In fact, this inability is said to be the reason that the previous OBGYN left the practice.
