Peter Martin Noel Clohessy (born 22 March 1966 in Limerick) is a former Irish rugby union footballer. He was a prop and known as "The Claw". His first game for the Ireland national rugby union team was against France at Lansdowne Road on 20 February 1993 and he gained 54 caps. He now owns a pub in Limerick called Clohessy's and an adjoining night club called "The Sin Bin". He opened a pub and restaurant in Murroe, east Limerick. The menu has a limerick/rugby theme. Reportedly saved the life of a young girl who swallowed her own tongue in his home town, as reported in the Irish Sun newspaper.[1]
