Peter Gerardo Barnett Aguilar is a British weightlifter and the current British record holder in the Clean and Jerk and Total. He is the first and only child of Maria Elida Barnett. At the age of 14 he took up weightlifting after being encouraged by his gymnastics coach.

Nicknamed by his peers "Plamen Jeliazkov", after the Bulgarian who he idolises, he currently holds the British records in weightlifting's light-heavy weight class in the clean and jerk and total. He is one of 4 British Champions who train at Europa Gym in Erith, Kent. He is also one of Bexleyheath's most noted celebrities, frequently appearing in the News Shopper and in the Bexley Times; his record breaking lifts are available to watch on Youtube.

He attended a monopoly of schools. He went to Belmont School until he was 10, when he changed at his fathers prequest to Merton Court. This is a private school; he was moved as his father felt he was not being pushed hard enough. After doing well in his 11+ he attended Eltham College for 2 years from which he was asked to leave after an incident in a science lesson. He had passed his 11+ and was offered a place to BETHS Grammar School he attended this institute for 3 years and at the age of 16 achieved; 1 A(*) 6 A's 1 B 3 C's

He now attends Dartford Grammar School in Kent.

At the age of 9 he first started playing rugby at Merton Court School and was in the A team regularly. He begun to play rugby at a more serious level when he was 13 after encouragement from his peers and his coach Dr. Thomas from Eltham College; by joining Sidcup Rugby Club. He now occasionally plays for the 1st Team at Dartford Grammar School but is trying to concentrate on his weightlifting career more.
