Peta Toppano (8 April 1952, London) is an actress who found success in Australian television, as part of the original casts of soap operas The Young Doctors (playing Dr Gail Henderson) and Prisoner (playing Karen Travers). She left The Young Doctors in early 1978 to take a role in a production of stage musical A Chorus Line in Sydney. In some of her early appearances she was credited as Peita Toppano and also refered to as Pieta Toppano. She married her Prisoner co-star Barry Quin in the early 1980s and was for a time known as Peta Quin. The marriage ended in divorce.

Toppano was later married to Australian billionaire Kerry Stokes and later divorced.

She later became widely known for her spirited performance as sequined superbitch Jilly Stewart in the glossy saga Return to Eden. Toppano played Helen Poulos in soap opera Home and Away in 2000. Even though many people think she is featured in the Nurofen Ad this is not the case.
