[edit] In-text citations

Hi. I'm the one who asked for in-text citations in the maletagate article. First of all, I will tell you I'm not planning to delete the article as the subject has notability, IMO. Formal issues like lacking in-line citations are not reasons for deleting an article, it is just something that must be fixed. You can find information on how to cite at WP:Cite. I would suggest using footnotes, I think they are the easiest to use. Have a good time. JRSP 20:25, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

I did a bit just to get you started. You can find more information (particularly on how to use named refs to source more than one statement with the same source) at WP:FN. I've given you a good start. Basically, what you need to do now is 1) grab the references left at the bottom of the article and move them inline by putting them between ref tags, and 2) used named refs when you want to repeat a source for more than one statement. I suggest you start first by making sure all direct quotes are cited. I'll keep an eye in case you need help, but I don't want to get overly involved there. It's best to attempt to use English language sources whenever possible. Good luck ! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:01, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks again, Sandy. I will try to find more pages in English. --Periergeia 20:05, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

OK, I'll try to keep an eye as you're learning. El Universal articles in English aren't as thorough as in Spanish, but when available, you should link them. Try to source those direct quotes lest they get deleted. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:07, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reply Requested Help

Example Infobox

OK so you want to create a new page? Well that is what Wikipedia is about. Here are some several things you must know before you create a new encyclopedia page.

Your new page must not have the following:
The page must not be an advertisment.
It must not be a nonsense page.
It must not be a personal attack or an insult of another user on Wikipedia.
It must not be a WP:BLP.
It must not have any point of view (POV).
The page must be clean and easy to read.

That is just about the basics on creating a new page. If you have used one of the above it may be deleted. If the page is about a person you can add a infobox just like this one. I hope this answers all of your questions. Happy editing. King Lopez Contribs 09:40, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Maletinazo

Valijagate has been merged to the more correct maletinazo. There is still quite a bit uncited text which you originally entered. The more time that goes by, the harder it will be to add citations. All text, and particularly all direct quotes, need inline citations. If you don't add them soon, the text could be deleted. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 07:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
