• It is not an attack. Yes I do have a personal encounter on this matter. Since then, I have performed research for numerous days on this matter. And have uncovered this extensive operation. I have posted references sourcing reputable sources for this also. Including the FDA, Better Business Bureau, FBI, rippoffreport etc.

I feel for the common good of society worldwide, that these type of business are uncovered and knowledge about these scams are known. This is the perfect place for documenting such scams. I understand that under the ideal scenario, the article should be posted with a neutral tone. However, the topic is what it is. Again, this is not a personal attack. This is an attempt to document the extensive scam, so that public can be informed of such. In addition, I will attempt to include some personal information of this person, as to present some kind of neutrality. But the person has surrounded himself by his fraudulent businesses. This attempted post was made by a competitor and he has made similar posts on other consumer sites as well with almost identical wording even on his own website at http://www.licerx.com/selmedica-healthcare.htm

My company, Selmedica is properly registered as a US FDA drug and dietary supplement manufacturer and marketer. It serves over 100,000 customers each year.

In the last 3+ years we have had ZERO unresolved BBB complaints our record clearly states in spite of the efforts of this gentleman to slander both my companies and my reputation personally.

I challenge the poster to provide one shred of credible evidence to any of his outlandish claims.

For a large company with almost 1,000,000 clients worldwide I would have to say our record is very good.

I am indeed involved in a number of other businesses online and have developed a thick skin over the years for those weaker who's only avenue to make a living is by discrediting their competitors.

I am your competitor??????? I have nothing to gain over this. except the moral responsibility of informing the public about the whole story, before they make the mistake I almost made. The website you provided, is not me, and I congratulate the person whose it is. I was almost defrauded by your illegitimate practices. I decided to start a preliminary investigation on you after this incident. I contacted the FDA, and you are not a FDA approved company in any of your products. On the contrary, you have FDA disclaimers saying your product is not FDA approved in fine print in the very bottom of your website.

After contacting the BBB, they have one of the longest lists of complaints against your company. You almost make a Guinness book record with the BBB. Their list is so long, the agent says that you already have an established bad record and that it is fruitless to continue to give notice of the company.

You are exploiting consumers when it comes to their personal health and mind. This in my eyes, is extremely immoral and you deserve to go to prison. My personal encounter further establishes the irreputable, fraudulant, practices that your companies/websites continue to make. I am hoping I give the courage for the countless others to start voicing their personal stories. You have yet to answer an email from any of your provided email addresses. And these range from complimentary email's to angry ones. None have been answered at all.

Stop your illegitimate practices immediately! Again, I am not your competitor, I am actually a univ student. I cannot in good conscious, keep quiet, and let you to continue to defraud innocent others, especially concerning their health. This is for the common goodness of the millions of people around the world, victimized by people like you.

• I understand it is an encyclopedia. I feel that this deserved its own article, as it includes extensive research on this topic and can not fit under Internet_fraud. Its purpose may come across as to "sound the alarm", but it is to spread the knowledge. As this is the first draft of the article, I will be editing, and hoping others can edit and add as investigation continues. FYI for others

Further, since it was initially created, as almost everything we do in life, I understand it has to be edited and chewed apart etc. I have been planning to start the editing process, and hope that others can join in the editing process, and offer their insights on various notable investigations on this matter etc. I will be further referencing the article, as editing etc continues...Thatopshotta (talk) 01:48, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
