[edit] Introduction

Instead of this: "This page will probably make a great deal more sense if you first read etc. etc." could we write a sentence or two or three in English putting this in a very general context. to give the non-mathematical reader some vague idea of what this is? The following is just hoo-hah, because this topic is way over my head, but something with this level of tone and specificity would be nice: Period Points Julia Set is one of a large variety of mathematical entities within the Mandelbrot set, important to mathematicians because it provides a link between the "chaos" aspects of that well-known form and certain types of higher algebra.

Can some one provide reference to Orbit portrait page...? I tried to introduce 'See Also' section in the article. It seemed to affect the contents section. So canceled the edit. Another layman looking at random pages. --Antariki Vandanamu 13:01, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
