Anyone know what Hobart's rank was when he was given command of the 79th? DJ Clayworth 14:29, 5 May 2005 (UTC)
- He was a Major-General from '37 and never promoted above that rank, though not due to a lack of talent IMO. Leithp 17:42, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

The DD Tanks.
The Duplex Drive tanks were American in design which may explain why the US used them and spurned the british tanks.
