Peridotite rock with pyrope (purple garnet) porphyroblasts. The mocca-brown stuff is weathered olivine. The garnets weather out. Coin of 1 euro (diameter 2,3 cm) for scale. Ugelvik Peridotite-body, Otrøy, Western Gneiss Region, Caledonides, Norway.
