This category, personal computers, contains articles related to those microcomputers (intended for) being used by individual people primarily for (home)office/productivity applications and telecommunications (even though uses such as computer gaming, music audio processing/playback, and photo/video editing are also a significant, and growing, part of personal computer user activities). There are separate Wikipedia categories for the early microcomputers of the 1970s, as well as the many home computers of the 1980s (which were also sometimes used for small-scale office work).
