[edit] 'Fart' theory

Doesn't this postulate that the name is given in a form which somehow predates Grimm's *p > f, but *t > þ has happened twice? The t of fart is a Germanic one, not a PIE one. Germanic *t is PIE *d or glottalised *t' (cf Greek πορδη). Koro Neil (talk) 10:23, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
