You can look up the term in thousands of penetration seal listings in the UL Building Materials Directory as well as its cousins by DIBt, WH, ULC, industry articles and governmental specifications, such as the NMS and the National MasterFormat. The term penetration, for the actual hole that is being penetrated is known territory and status quo, as described within and outside of Wiki.
