Pendulum day

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Pendulum day is the time needed for the plane of a freely suspended Foucault pendulum to complete an apparent rotation about the local vertical. In the case of the original Foucault pendulum this was one earth day. In the case of other physical systems, for example in meteorology, this could be a different time.
