[edit] Welcome!
Hi PembrokeWKorgi, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!
- Editing tutorial, learn to have fun with Wikipedia.
- Picture tutorial, instructions on uploading images.
- How to write a great article, very important!
- Manual of Style, how articles should be written.
Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :
Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. You also might want to consider visiting Wikipedia:New user log and introducing yourself. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page or simply place {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will drop by to help out. Once again, welcome! =)

[edit] About Impy and Aevy
Let me reiterate the welcome Hetar gave you. I wanted to ask you about this webcomic you've created an article about; I see from your userpage that you're the creator, and this often creates difficulties on Wikipedia because people too personally involved with the subject of an article have a hard time being neutral and sticking to verifiable information. It's my instinct that Impy and Aevy probably doesn't belong on Wikipedia (at least, not yet), but I don't know much about it, so I figured I'd ask you first before suggesting that it should be deleted. Two basic questions: has Impy and Aevy ever been reviewed or written about in a print magazine or newspaper, or an online column (other than a blog)? Second, is Impy and Aevy a comic that has ever been distributed through an independent distributor like Dayfree Press or something like it? If you want to reply to me, the best thing is to leave a message on my talk page, but I'll try to look in here too from time to time. Mangojuice 02:02, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

- Hey, thanks for responding to my question. A lot of users make this kind of mistake when they first start on Wikipedia, so don't worry about it! What I'm going to do is move the content of Impy and Aevy to your user page, User:PembrokeWKorgi. It's a pretty well written article, but if it hasn't received outside attention, it falls short of Wikipedia standards, unfortunately. See WP:WEB for a general guideline of what is and isn't notabe when it comes to web-based content, and also check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Webcomics to see examples of other web comic articles, including a list of those that have been deleted and those that haven't. My rough look through indicates that those that are long-running and have received outside attention are the ones that get kept, while others get deleted. After I move the content, I'm going to use {{prod}} to propose it for deletion; if you change your mind and object, we can move it to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion where the community can debate, but proposed deletion is good when there isn't controversy. Anyway, sorry about all this, but I think you're off to a good start on Wikipedia, and I hope you stick around. :) Mangojuice 14:53, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

- Okay, I've moved Impy and Aevy to User:PembrokeWKorgi/Impy and Aevy, and proposed the original page for deletion. By moving it, you get access to the edit history, in case you want it. Mangojuice 14:58, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:InALogo3.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:InALogo3.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
