Ibrahim Conteh Aka Conté (born October 13, 1984), is a rapper from Husby, Stockholm in Sweden, who started rapping in early '97. Best known by his stage name Conté, he is one of the most ambitious rappers of all-time, with a style that reigns from hip-hip, all the way to calypso music. He dropped his first official mixtape in May 2007 and is already working on his next mixtape to be dropped later on this year.

Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, But raised in Europe, Conté and his mother spent most of their time trying to find a safe and secure place for him to grow up in. Moving from one place to another they finally settled down in Sweden. Raised in suburban Husby, Conté and his friend Kman formed Afterschool Productions. After little dedication and time constraints, it was suggested that Conté try his luck as a solo act with Kman as his producer, and together with Moe (Conté’s childhood friend), they formed DoeBoi Music.

Conté first gained recognition with the song “Get Dat Doe” and released the mixtape called “The Hybrid” (2007), which is in heavy circulation nationwide. Expect to see a lot more from this boy-next-door/rapping-phenomenon, as he works on establishing himself in the rap game.
