Peace and Noise is the rock album by Patti Smith, released September 30, 1997 on Arista Records. Uncut magazine ranked the album 21th best of the year.[1] Song "1959" was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance in 1998.[2]
