Pawnee Plunge is an outdoor water park located in Columbus, Nebraska. It first opened in late May 2006. It features 4 main waterslides that include a tube slide, a speed spide and a unique splashbowl slide that park goers refer to as the "toilet bowl". The park also has a "lazy river".
The park is open from 10 am to 10 pm everyday during the summer, and from 4 pm during the school year. The admission is 5 dollars for adults over 17 and kids are 3 dollars. On Friday nights after 7pm they have a dollar night. During its first week of opening, the park attracted over 13,000 visitors.
The park is funded and run by the City of Columbus by a .5 cent sales tax. Though there has been some complaints about not having a typical swimming pool, there are plans for a phase two to expand the park.
