Paw feet

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paw feet is a word used in furniture making and design. It describes the terminals on the legs of furniture that resemble the feet of animals. Examples of these animals are lions, dogs, and other animals of that nature. It was used during ancient times and through high renaissance times. Paw feet could be found on anything from tables to chests. Today it is common to see paw feet on faux antique bath tubs.
