[edit] Best wishes

On the occasion of our New Year's Day, good wishes for the happy New Year R.F. 214 to all Wikipedia users and a blessed A.D. MM.VI to few ones.

The new Common Era, since the year of the First French Republic, was defined, fifteen years ago, at the New Year's Eve: C.E. 1990, December 31th
between 23H59 and 24H00 – publicly in Paris – with a crosscut saw by Michael Florencetime. Then all the world was in C.E. 199, nivose 1st, 00H 00.

The first month is called nivose, the last one frimaire, both have 31 days, like the other ten months all keep their traditional, augustian numbers of days.
The seven-days-week is maintained as the closest integer value of a lunar phase, because 29.53 / 4 7.

So he defined – by respecting of course Julius Caesar's New Year's Day – the consistent Common Year Zero for the 365 first days of A.D. MDCC.XCII.

This proleptic Civil Era uses the only accurate von Mädler's rule for exceptional common years, scilicet every 128 years,
both for the about 5000 years of our history and for the future.
Thus the next exceptional common year will be the year C.E. 256,
while the Gregorian year MM.XLVIII will be a leap year, as opposed to the sun.

So – for example – eleven US-Presidents had "birthday problems".

  • The four first ones: Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Madison knew that they were born eleven days after their respective birthdays and corrected in their lifetime (1752).
  • Two others: Polk and Fillmore, born respectively in + 3 and + 8 a.u.c. (w.r.t. Washington D.C. of course) thought their whole life, to be one day older than they really were.
  • Finally the five: Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford and Reagan falsly deemed to be one day younger. But Jimmy Carter, born in C.E. 132, vendémiaire 1 and still alive, never
celebrated his birthday the erroneous day, just like the remaining 31 Presidents of the United States of America (since the 22nd and the 24th President was the same one).

Certainly, also Miss E.A.M. Windsor is born in C.E. 134, germinal 21. The antecedent Bishop of Rome John Paul II was born C.E. 128 floréal 18, so never ignored his birthday.*

Note:  If it is always ignominious to not even know his own birthday, to die the "false" day can be a honour.

However, best wishes for everyone, yours Paul Martin 18:47, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

Post Script :

 * Even if he not celebrated an erroneous day, notwithstanding surely, he wasn't aware of the date of his birth. Certainly he thought to be born in the 20th century. He can not.
Like anyone else he must be born in a chronology. A chronology, to merit its name, must have defined the logical year zero. The Dionysian Era has none. So, it's a chronicle.
It's the chronicle of the whole christianity, all over the world.

In history of humanity – w.r.t. to the solar calendarsexactly three different years zero were defined. Two are leap years, only one is defined as an exceptional common year.

  • The so-called Cassini year zero – until now – was used in astronomy science. It correspondence exactly one to the year B.C. I. This chronology uses the julian leap years
rule till ex-C.E. 1582, october 4, a thursday, and the LiliusClavius exeptional common year rule since the date ex-C.E. 1582, october 15, friday, the day thereupon. Though
it is a chronology – the first one in humankind's history – despite: This astronomical chronology is astronomically shifted !  Plus or minus one day for the recent history or
the near future and up to more than four weeks for the early historical times. Furthermore, it not involve a steady, contiguous chronology, but a broken one, interrupted one.
For all these reasons it disqualifies itself and is now incapacitated.
  • A second leap year zero is rather a "modern joke". It is literally ignored by everybody: historians, astronomers and christians. This is the extravagant and absolutly useless
ISO 8601 leap year zero of an improbable proleptic Gregorian calendar. It is defined to last from I B.C., mensis I, dies III to A.D. I, mensis I, dies II. A really ubuesk botch!
  • The definition of the new Common Era:

Be defined a new civil, historical and astronomical Common Year Zero.
It lasted from 1792, January 1 to December 30 according to the Gregorian calendar.
1792, December 31 corresponds to the New Year's Day year +1 of this proleptic chronology.
Both before and after this new year zero each 128th year is an exceptional common year; the next one in 256.

This continuous chronology is the only historically and astronomically accurate one, so the valid one. The legal one is the irregular one. Obviously: Laws must be changed.
Already Goethe assisting at the Battle of Valmy in the camp of the Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach noticed: "From here and today a new epoch of world history proceeds."
The following day the french revolutionary bourgeoisie abolished monarchy (the King was already in prison since about six weeks) and proclamed the First French Republic.
With Goethe, all the historians worldwide are in agreement to consider that the French Revolution is the cesura in our modern history. Prepared by the french enlightenment
it constitute, to date, the base of all forms of government referring to democracy and human rights. Even the preceeding Independence of the United States – a local event in
the New World which occured C.E. -16, messidor 4 – is largely influenced by the french pre-revolutionary ideas. Also the most technical-industrial innovations of the modern
times took place after 1792, the year of the effective abolishing of the Ancien Régime. In C.E. -300, vendémiaire 21 (A.D. MCD.XCII–X–XII) Christopher Columbus reached the
Americas. These three centuries – between 1492 and 1792 – are called in history the Early Modern Time. Though the actual Modern Time began with the common year zero.

Beside, the King Louis XVI was executed not before C.E. +1, nivose 22 (1793, january 21 or Year I, pluviose 1 in that not consistent Bourgeois Revolutionary Calendar, full of errors!). By ignorance and arrogance –
often joined – they proclamed a First Year of the Republic, instead of defining "modestly" a year zero of history. Nothing to notice neither about their improbable commemoration days like the "Day of pears" or the
"Day of turkey" nor to their invented 10-days-week nonsense. Yet their regression by trying to fix the New Year's Day at the day of the changement of season provoced a not existing – only empirical – leap years rule.
The proceeding of Sosigenes is the good one: to place the New Year's Day some days after the astronomical phenomena, then attain the concordance with the tropical year by an easy, afore stated, leap years rule.
With the von Mädler common year rule and the civil year zero, an achievement in the long history of cognition of the solar year since the Egyptian "wandering year" is obtained. By now, a faithful chronology exists.

No human being is born as christian. One will hardly find a theologian to contradict. This applies also for a future so-called pope – since the 5th c., however cf. Matthew 23:8 – so
Karol Józef Wojtyła, as a matter of course, also was born in the second civil century and died on the civil date: 213, germinal 2. He was baptised in C.E. 128, prairial 20 and thus he
entered into the 20th century on MCM.XX–VI–XX, since then he also lived in the christian chronicle till MM.V–IV–II. However, his first 33 days he exclusively lived in the 2nd century,
of course surrounded by a family already living in the 20th century. Worldwide not a third are christians: Still how many years the impertinent lie:  Everyone living in 21th century ?

An impossible eighth "century" does not exist. Worldwide the only individual who pretends to live into, is the heretical antipope Mark V (Mark II to Mark IV didn' exist). On his site, he prates about his Weltanschauungen and
there he postulates a eighth century. This first and – betting – last antipope the likes of him, put on his mitre himself in 205 and "reigns" till these days. He errs and yet not recognising it. Lastly, a poor, deplorable man: Living
all alone, sole, in an inexisting eighth century. Christians, who really lived in the eighth century are supposed to be in heaven since more than thousand years. Before once we have to say hallo to the first citizen of the eighth
century, we have to await C.E. 701, nivose 1. That's almost 487 years. Forsooth, a very long time to live all lonesome!

To summarise:

While we will, well, "go to metric", however directly to the more modern and better hexadecimal metric system, worldwide: Nevertheless the years we'll continue to express in decimal
(on the one hand, we ought to have always at least one exception, on the other hand we will not count the years since French First Republic in hexadecimal, since its violent founders
were the precentors of the decimalisation generalised, cf. decimal SI.)
This convention has also the advantage to memorise all the decimal multiples of 128, the exceptional common
historical years: -5120, -4992, -4864, -4736, -4608, -4480, -4352, -4224, -4096, -3968, -3712, -3584, -3456, -3328, -3200, -3072, -2944, -2816, -2688, -2560, -2432, -2304, -2176, -2048,
-1920, -1792, -1664, -1536, -1408, -1280, -1152, -1024, -896, -768, -640, -512, -384, -256, -128, 0, 128. Thus we are well in the civil year two hundred fourteen (214) and not in the year
thirteenty-six (YS). This wouldn't be false, but simply is not standard. (However, tongue-in-cheek, if this you reassure, you can say at your 48th birthday: "Now I'm thirty years old.") So
christians continue to live in the 21th century, all citizens including those christians, worldwide, live in the third civil century. All the constitutions of all modern states have to guarantee
that their citizens also can live in their 58th and their 15th century for example or in other religious eras, if they choose that. All the liberty for the successors of Saint Peter at Rome to
maintain or not the leap year in MM.XLVIII. If that year will not be a leap year, this is the end of the Gregorian era in christianity and the new era will be named after the bishop of Rome
who eventually decides so. If contrariwise that year will stay a leap year in the christian chronicle: No problem. Simply in the countries where Christmas is a public holiday, a day off, it
will be marked – during firstly 52 years, from C.E. 256 to 308 – at the 26th frimaire, in concordance to the sun, instead of the now 25th frimaire.

But even if – what's not excluded, because Rome always proofed, at least, sometimes with a tardiness of several centuries, its awareness of the realities – the year MM.XLVIII will also
be a common year, this reform inside the Dionysian Era can not be retroactive. That is certain. Because a proleptic rule can only be applied with an other Era. As like in C.E. -210, the
Gregorian Era assumed all the errors of the initial, julian christian Era, any potential modifications inside this Era will do so as well. This is moreover the only logical and correct way of
proceeding and so guarantee furthermore the good, historical and unambiguous comparative dates.  That's one of the main reasons, why Mark V is the condign successor of Felix V.

  • The last time we changed digits, the mediaeval Europe, for different reasons, required about five centuries to notice its existence (cf. Gerbert d'Aurillac). Then after this, Europe took
additional five centuries before understanding the impossibleness to not incorporate these new progressive digits.
  • One of the last times – at least among the famous ones – when a single individual, if this pleonasm is allowed, went against all "established certainties" occured in the beginning of
the Early Modern Time. The german Pole or polnish German – that's the same – astronomer Copernicus with his works diametrically opposed to "the old and well-known evidences".
  • As like in these both scholar example-cases mentioned above, also concerning both the accurate chronology and the hexadecimal metric system: All resistances are only deferring.

(Will be continued, a little.)

[edit] Invention of writing

Like it is now ascertained and widely accepted, the mankind invented the first writing systems – except the so-called proto-writing – at about 3300 B.C. in the Fertile Crescent. First in Mesopotamia, but then almost simultaneous in old Egypt with their hieroglyphs. Spectacular re-evaluations on this topo are not to expect. So: (3299 + 1792) / 128 39.77 von-Mädler-Epochs before the French Republic. Therefore we can say: Before C.E. -5120, the world entire is plunged in the prehistory. However, it's only a rough value! Surely, passim, even in the one or two von-Mädler-Epochs before, man should have experimented with script similar signs and pictures and also from the, say, 256 years after this conventional date of C.E. -5120 the really preserved and attested written historic sources are rather rare. But the number of well-attested archaeological founds since this date rapidly growed up, tablets, epigraphs, etc.

[edit] The three Ancient Grand-Epochs

It is certainly and totally excluded to define a hypothetical historic year zero in C.E. -5120 for example. This would be purely speculative and rightly rejected by every serious historian. Even though we can surely not say that writing was invented in C.E. -5120, however we can justly say, writing was invented in about C.E. -5120 and rather quite a little afterwards. This documented affirmation allows to name and to define the historical grand-epoch called: "Old Ancient Time" which lasted from C.E. -5120 to -2560, obviously not less than 2560 years. That is the history of the old city-states and empires in the Fertile Crescent, India, China, including also old Greek civilisations Mycenae, Krete but ends before the heydays of the Greek history, because this grand-epoch finishs, by definition, in C.E. -2561 frimaire 31 (DCC.LXIX–I–X B.C.), so less than sixteen years before the conventional year of the foundation of Rome. But, wasn't there a legend with Aeneas, Rhea Silvia and the Twins ?

The so-called "Mid Ancient Time" designate – between others, of course, in other regions of our world – precisely that well-known Greek and Roman history. The last Western Roman Emperors, named Romulus Augustus was compelled to abdicate the throne in C.E. -1316 fructidor 3, (A.D. CD.LXXVI–IX–VI) by Odoacer. We don't know when Romulus died, but like it is attested, he was still alive in C.E. -1281 (A.D. D.XI). In this same year – well-attested – died Clovis I the founder of the Merovingian dynasty. In this year also ends the Mid Ancient Time.

All the history before the French Republic is now called Ancient Times. Even if, the last 300 years before this "1792" will mostly be continued to be designed by the concurrently
term the Early Modern Time. The hitherto so-called Middle Ages plus the Early Modern Time are equal to the "New Ancient Time", i.e. from C.E. -1280 to C.E. -1 included (~D.XII
to  MDCC.XCI)
. (In other, approximated terms: From Saint Genevieve to Mozart's Requiem). So, with the Saturday, the 31th December ex-C.E. 1791 well finished the Ancient Times.

[edit] Each Grand-Epoch has five Epochs

Each one of these three grand-epochs of ancient times is divided into five (sub-)epochs, called (in its chronological order): I-Epoch, E-Epoch, A-Epoch, O-Epoch and U-Epoch.
Whereas the lengths of these five epochs are not equal in all the three parts of the Ancient Time and in Modern Time.
Incidentally: I, E, A, O & U denote here nothing other and nothing more than the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and the 5th epoch.

  • During the Old Ancient Time, one historical epoch is four von-Mädler-Epochs or 512 years.
  • In the Mid Ancient Time as well as in the New Ancient Time each one of these five epochs within the both grand-epochs equals two von-Mädler-Epochs or 256 years.
  • Finally in our Modern Time, since "1792" all the historical epochs, and even in the expecting future, are identical to one von-Mädler-Epoch or 128 years exactly one.
Because thereof one year, always the first one, is an exeptional common year, this makes exactly one 128 x 365.25 - 1 = 46 751 days in each von-Mädler-Epoch.

Examples:
The E-Epoch of the New Ancient Time began with the year C.E. -1024  (~A.D. DCC.LXVIII):  In this year Pippin died, Charlemagne and Carloman became conjoined Kings of Franks.
The A-Epoch of the New Ancient Time began with the year C.E. -768  (~A.D. M.XXIV):  In this year Henry II, the last Ottonian died and Conrad II, the first Salian ascend to the throne.

Our history is quite rich enough to find in each Common Year a date as convincing "memory hook event".

[edit] Astronomical and historical epoch table

So, in almost ten years in C.E. 224, nivose 1, at T.QQ'q H UTC.F, the astronomical epoch 1.750 begins.
This means that at this date the last quarter of our second, contemporary epoch, the E-Epoch will begin.
