[edit] Trivia

I removed the first trivia section, since it was so hard to read as to be understandable; I'l put it here in case anyone who knows what it's about wants to rewrite it and put it back in the article.

  • Paulding has achieved an internet fame of sorts for supposedly having a law saying that a policeman may bite a rabid dog to bite him. No such law exists. However, a town councilman moved to disarm a town officer much as fictional deputy Barney Fife did not carry a loaded weapon in fictional Mayberry, another community where stolen bicycles were pretty much the extent of major crime. The officer, objecting to this indignity, pointed out that if a rabid dog were to threaten the community, he would need a gun to deal with the dog. The councilman directed the officer to proactively deal with rabid dogs by biting them first, to quiet them.

[edit] Courthouse Picture

I changed the picture of the courthouse to one I took for the purpose; the article mentions the "spacious lawns" and "majestic trees" but the old picture did not show them. (Granted, the new one shows dead December-y trees, but some is better than none here.) Vbdrummer0 22:25, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Transportation

I changed the name of the railroad per the following directions from my brother Stan Searing, a Paulding resident and local railroad history expert: "There is one glaring error. The railroad was the Cincinnati Northern, not the Cincinnati, Lebanon and Northern, a different entity." 22:21, 25 February 2007 Dan Searing(UTC)
