According to various sources DeMayo was calling up old friends in the sport in the last few days before his death to ask if they could loan him some money. I've heard this too and beleive it to be true, generally bodybuilding message boards might not be credible enough for Wikipedia however. Can you provide a legit source? Yeah I was thinking the same - I didn't write it but obviously I didn't delete it either. I can dig up the MuscleMag where Valentine's article was written as I believe that was the source for the original writer... I can't find it online unfortunately.
