Paul Davidson claims to have been one of this program's producers and the Executive Producer can't recall him working with him indicative that Paul Davidson is being dishonest in his various claims of working at the top levels of television programs.

The other two television programs listed as Davidson's did not show any credits in IMBd with his name and was unverifiable. It is possible Davidson worked on the programs in some capacity but claiming he is a television producer is obviously misleading and fraudulent.

Thus far, it is only verifiable that Davidson has a 1) blog 2) two books, the latest of which is considered a [flop] by publishing standards currently on the top 700,000 best sellers on Amazon a year after it's release 3) has contributed to various film productions in a stage crew capacity no where near being a television producer, and these productions he listed cannot confirm he worked on the programs (4) has also been known to perform stand-up comedy similar to how singers perform karoake at their local bar 5) he claims to have attended UC Irvine yet does not state his degree which denotes omission of relevant fact that he most likely did not obtain one.

In another example of Davidson's far reaching claims, he says to have a screenplay in production due in 2008 "Grounded." Many people write screenplays claiming to be screenwriters while 99% of their works end up in the trash can at varioius production companies. It isn't noteworthy for Mr. Davidson to refer to himself as a screenwriter on Wikipedia based on having one in production.

I move to have this page deleted especially due to the deliberate misrepresentation in which Davidson had someone write this page on his behalf providing them with misinformation and errors of relevant facts. As Davidson appears to be more in the developing stages of his late blooming career, his "arrival" on Wikipedia is premature.

New Discussion: August 26, 2007

This discussion topic is related to the recent updates someone made to Davidson's page in an attempt substantiate his claims to being that of a television producer and screenwriter. The article page had been put in a form of heavy scrutiny for not having any support for many of its claims. The reason for the scrutiny of Davidson is that he has admitted to being a [liar] on his blog. Including [libeling] retired actress Kristy McNichol, he lies for entertainment sake and silly things. He also smears [innocent] people while overblowing his accomplishments. This has been [documented]. Davidson has someone write misleading information about himself, that violates Wikipedia's policy. One isn't allowed to write material about themselves and that also means providing information to a third party to post on his behalf as recently occurred. There is evidence Davidson had someone provide updates in validating his claims by providing links to Variety and an LA Times article. The Variety article (2004) reference link provided shows a potential outcome of a screenplay called "Grounded." Davidson's IMDb page (linked in the article) has a projected completion date of 2008. This claim is therefore premature. In spite of requests for substantiations, what was really provided were "promises" of future accomplishments on this article page. Under the circumstances, a reasonable person would refrain from making themselves overnight television producers and screenwriters in an encyclopedia seeing there is no substantiation of completed works or projects as such.

Claims of being a Full Blown Television Producer: Davidson is claiming to be a "tv producer" when he was a "supervising line producer" for the program Princess of Malibu. There is a huge difference between being a television producer and a supervising line producer. I do not believe this qualifies under Wikipedi's standards as "television producer".

"Claims of being a Screenwriter" As for the 2004 Variety article, Davidson hasn't since published a screenplay called Grounded and therefore it isn't a fact. It isn't real, but mere conjecture. Wikipedia is not a press release encyclopedia designed to promote the future unpublished works of someone with no real track record in the field of screenwriting.

Further comment: It is quite odd for someone without any screenplay writing accomplishments to suddenly get a contract to do a screenplay. Especially in these tough times for the industry. Such is why it is suspected Davidson had an announcement made about him to hype himself up as has been the pattern ever since he managed to get his first book published. Davidson's author of these books are not noteworthy as none of them were near being best sellers. Davidson has orchestrated "illusions" of being in the film industry by having his name included in Variety and other publications claiming to be working on future projects. One can't make such claims as to a "future" of being a professional screenwriter, or "future television producer" the nature of spreading misinformation on Wikipedia. Davidson has no proven track record as a screenwriter or television producer qualify for Wikipedia. I suggest that the standards for making such a claim here are greater than his fabricated blog.

"Davidson is Using Wikipedia as a free Press Release for Future Projects" Davidson violates Wikipedia's policies by having someone provide information about his "future" projects. His claims of being a television producer and screenwriter have no basis in any works he can claim as his own. Instead, Davidson listed articles about future projects he claims to be working on. That does not meet the standards of being in Wikipedia's encyclopedia making such overblown claims to promote one's stature.

"Qualificiations to Define a Screenwriter and/or TV Producer on Wikipedia" First, list a program that lists Davidson as the television producer (not supervising line producer) Second, provide a completed screenplay reference of a film that has been released for public viewing.

The Claim to Being a Contributor to NPR all Things Considered Davidson provided a link to this program. I edited out the insinuation that he was a regular contributor to this program (by the omission of relevant fact). It's been confirmed Davidson was on the program once to promote his first book in 2004 and has not been on the program since.

"The Claim of Attending UC Irvine" Due to no information of a degree, I believe this information is irrelevant. For all the visitor knows, he may have attended a week and dropped out. Since there is no way to validate this claim of attending UC Irvine because of his common name and the fact he hasn't listed in any degree, I move for this claim to be removed.

Final Comment regarding My Edits: I hope Davidson eventually becomes a successful artist in whatever field he wants to. My problem with this individual is his claim to fame is premature and overhyped on Wikipedia. Many very accomplished people don't have any pages in Wikipedia at this time. I myself had to put up a page on a several time Emmy nominated television music producer whose been David Letterman's team since 1992. Many accomplished people don't go around having people promote themselves as Davidson has based on premature speculations of his future career as a screenwriter and television producer. Therefore, I respecfully submit for a more established Wikipedia editor to note that Davidson is using this encyclopedia to overblow himself and is substantiating his claims based on projects he is currently involved with. At the age of 36, Davidson has two books published. He is a late bloomer in life and I suspect he overblows himself because of it.--Brainchannels 15:45, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
