Paulo Gomes fullname Paulo Jorge Sousa Gomes (born March 4, 1975 in Viseu) is a Portuguese football (soccer) midfielder. He currently plays for F.C. Paços de Ferreira.He was born in north Portugal in Viseu.His previous clubs include CD Tondela,Academica De Viseu,Associação Desportiva de Lousada,Vitória de Guimarães,SC Braga and União D. de Leiria.He made his Portuguese Liga debut for Vitória de Guimarães against S.C. Salgueirosin a 3-2 loss on the 12 September 1998.The person that helped him was Zoran Filipovicthe former Yugoslavian international.In 2007 he signed a contract with Pacos until 2009 after leaving his former club União D. de Leiria which he spent five years at the club.His proudest achievements is taking União D. de Leiria and F.C. Paços de Ferreira to the Uefa Cup.
