Paulo Jorge, full name Paulo Jorge Soares Gomes (born 16 June 1980 in Braga) is a Portuguese football (soccer) defender. He currently plays for Sporting Clube de Braga, and is the club captain, having played for the team for the duration of his career, which began as a professional in 2002-03.
Although a central defender, he scored five league goals in 2006-07, as well as two in UEFA Cup 2006-07, against Tottenham Hotspur F.C., and A.C. Chievo Verona.
