Pauline Krikke

Pauline C. Krikke (born May 9, 1961 in Sneek, Friesland) is a Dutch politician for the VVD. Since September 1, 2001, she has been the mayor of the municipality of Arnhem. Before that, she was alderman in the municipality of Amsterdam.

Krikke studied Rights at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. She was campagneleader for the VVD in Amsterdam, and in 1986 she started her own service company for campaign sheathing, congresses and events. In 1994 she was chosen in Amsterdam's city council, and two years later she was appointed as alderman for economic matters, air- and sea port.

After the elections of 1998 she received the portfolios for economic matter and employment and building, living and economy. She also has fulfilled several functions as a council member and commissioner.
