Paul Steel is a British songwriter / producer from Worthing, currently living in Brighton, who is influenced by (amongst others): Super Furry Animals; The Beach Boys; and Cornelius.
His debut EP, April & I, was released to much critical acclaim in March 2007 on his own Label Ray Gun Records. He signed to Fascination Records in the following month, and his released debut single Your Loss that September, but failed to chart. Due to the record label's incompetence and paranoia his subsequent debut album Moon Rock and follow up single I Will Make You Disappear were both cancelled for release and he was dropped in April 2008. Paul Steel continues to compose and play in several projects as well as his own. Meanwhile, Fascination Records continue to sell mediocre vacuous pop music to millions of innocent people who deserve much better.
