Paul Sepuya

Paul Mpagi Sepuya is a Brooklyn-based, American photographer and artist (b. 1982 in San Bernardino, CA) and included in the burgeoning of "gay male art" as described by the New York Times in 'Gay Art: A Movement, or at Least a Moment'[1], published on May 6th, 2007.

His photographs focus heavily on the relationship between artist and subject, often exploring the male nude. Since 2004, Sepuya's images have been exhibited around the world and have been featured in I.D. (magazine), Kaiserin Magazine, and BUTT Magazine. His evolving collection of the self-published periodical 'SHOOT' has been sold internationally since its inception in 2005[2], and Sepuya's first retrospective will be available in 2008[3].
