Paul S. Owen (a.k.a. psoTFX) was a co-project manager and lead developer of the phpBB project. He joined development in December 2000 soon after version 1.0.0 of phpBB was released. Initially, he implemented a number of key changes to the source that he had written for the version of phpBB deployed on his site.
He then went on to develop version 2 of the software, ultimately leading development through the initial release. He subsequently went on to produce the framework for the next major release, version 3.0, codenamed Olympus.
He stepped down as lead developer in 2005, handing that responsibility to Meik Sievertsen (known as Acyd Burn in the community). He then acted as a co-project manager with James Atkinson and as a technical supervisor for phpBB.
In September of the same year, he indefinitely left the phpBB team.
