Paul Maynard

Paul Maynard (born Cheshire, 1975) is the Conservative party parliamentary candidate for the new Parliamentary constituency of Blackpool North and Cleveleys. The United Kingdom Parliament currently operates on different constituency boundaries.

Maynard was previously Special Advisor to Shadow Defence Secretary Dr Liam Fox, whom he has also worked for on health issues.

He had previously contested the Twickenham constituency seat at the 2005 General Election, losing to the Liberal Democrat candidate, Vince Cable MP. He was selected by an open primary held by Blackpool North and Cleveleys Conservative Association in November 2006.
