Paul Byrne was an Irish soccer player who was born in Dublin
Byrne was a defender or midfielder who represented Athlone Town A.F.C., St Patricks Athletic and Bohemian F.C. amongst others during his career in the League of Ireland. He was part of Bohemians' 1992 FAI Cup winning squad. He made his competitive debut for them in the League Cup tie against Bray Wanderers on August 19, 1990[1] and scored twice in a 2-1 win.
