[edit] Dick Cotter
I have amended the article you created. A few things though, when linking to other articles you should merely insert the name of the article enclosed by two brackets and not the full URL of the article. Like this Dick Cotter. Also the "references" you added were simply external linkss, certainly in the format in which you added them. Please see the various articles about how to add sources such as WP:CITE etc. There is also a list of all the templates to be used with them here WP:CTT under the "Citations of generic sources" heading. The refs then go "inline" within the main body of the article and not in the references section where they will automatically appear (which is why the "reflist" is included in the references section). If this is all as clear as mud please just ask and I will gladly help. Have fun.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 05:16, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Tangerines, I have never submitted to wikipedia before, I'm not even sure I'm replying to you correctly here : ) thank you for editing my page, i appreciate the help. I will work on your suggestions as soon as I get a chance. Thanks so much.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Pattywikichick (talk • contribs) 10:22, 1 March 2008

- Yes it is ok to reply here as I have your talk page on my "watchlist" which means if you repond then I will see it so no worries. And yes I realise that you are a new user. It is perhaps best though at first to learn how to edit articles on wikipedia before creating articles. That way you will create much less work both for yourself and for others. These articles would be of great benefit for you to read - WP:BETTER WP:HOW. Have fun.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 17:18, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

- One other small thing though, if the edits made on the article by the IP user were your edits, then you need to make sure that you log into your account before editing. Thanks.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 17:24, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

- Tangerines, I added the missing citations, a few of them are from old newspaper articles, I hope I cited them correctly. I also added a redirect from another Richard Cotter page to this one. Thank you for all your help. This has been fun, I feel like I'm going to become a wikipedia addict now, well, probably not : ) thanks again.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Pattywikichick (talk • contribs) 03:36, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

- You are definitely getting there and learning well. There are just a few small "tweaks" from your last edit which I will do tomorrow, but good work! Have fun!♦Tangerines♦·Talk 05:14, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
