Infobox colors

Pats I saw you changed all the colors for the infoboxes. Where did you get those colors from? I'm fine with the changes, but as I do more of them I want to know where you're getting them from so you don't have to go back and change those too.

Also, I do find some, like the Bills and Dolphins, a little difficult to read.Chris Nelson 00:11, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
You lost me. Get on AIM!Chris Nelson 00:15, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Dude I gotta say, I hate the positions abbreviated in the infoboxes, haha.Chris Nelson 01:08, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Better not touch my Dolphins pages! :-PChris Nelson 01:37, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Stallworth

I did cite the ESPN article, not the Boston Herald in the most recent version. Montco 02:05, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you for all of your impressive edits to the Patriots subproject and the templates. You are a great fan! coppercod 19:21, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Link to NFL rosters in templates

I was thinking, there should be a link to view the NFL rosters page in each team's roster template. That'd make things much easier, especially for someone like me who bounces around updating things on them. What do you think, and if you like the idea how would you implement it?Chris Nelson 22:13, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

The v-d-e thing!

How do you add that to templates? I made this template Template:Miami Dolphins First Round Picks and I'd like to add that. If you could either do it or tell me how that's be good. I'd also like to put it on Template:DolphinsQuarterback.Chris Nelson 20:41, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

That worked, thanks. Hey look at the last post I made in the NFL player infobox talk page about jersey numbers. What do you think?Chris Nelson 21:06, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Minnsota Vikings colors

Hey Pats1, I saw you changed the colors for the Minnesota Vikings template. Based on the discussion at the template page, the colors agreed upon are indigo and gold, not what you have changed them to. See Template_talk:Infobox_NFL_player#Colors_to_agree_upon. RyguyMN 23:19, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Ok, that works for me Pats1. I didn't any Vikings related discussion and I saw that the table still lists "indigo" and "gold" as team colors, so I had no knowledge of the hex work being done and I'm just looking out for Vikings related material. The colors do look pretty accurate I must say though after close comparison! Good job with your efforts! RyguyMN 02:00, 16 May 2007 (UTC).

Saints depth chart

I appreciate your efforts to improve this as best you can, but I think it's best if someone with a little more knowledge of the particular team keeps up with it. I understand the Wikipedia standards for verifiability at all costs, even correctness, which is why you would use the Saints' official site. However, the Saints are one of many NFL teams which aren't real big on updating depth charts during the offseason. For example, the only rookie even listed on the depth chart is MacDonald. This is obviously a problem.

My version of the depth chart is a synthesis of all the knowledge I have gathered of the team and all the players from the media. It is not just my own opinion. In the interest of verifiability I would link to all the articles I can find if that were standard practice, but it isn't. I am still new to this so I'm not sure how to go about it anyway. Maybe this is something we should change. For example, you list this year's fourth-round pick at the bottom of the depth chart at right tackle. But an article I read specifically quoted the Saints' Sean Payton stating that he was playing Bushrod at left tackle in camp, and that is where he sees Bushrod's future.

I think this is the best approach. If Wikipedia insists on sticking just to what the team websites put out, maybe they/we should get out of making depth charts altogether. A depth chart that is the least bit useful at this point in the offseason has to be somewhat speculative and reliant on quotes like I found in the last paragraph, and not worry about the fragments the teams produce.

That said I will implement the change with the long-snapper as I did not catch that earlier, and if you have any other suggestions about the positioning of some other guys, I'll look at that too. Thank you. WeatherMike 19:34, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Pay Attention

I didn't vandalize as you warned me on my page. I completely removed a paragraph of nonsense on the 49ers page, something about the teams need in 2013, etc. Pay attention next time, eh? CoffeeJA 22:14, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Tennessee Titans

Please don't forget to remove these fansite links from the Washington Redskins :

Once you've done that, I'll find another NFL page for you to delete links from. Once you have removed all fan sites from all the NFL team pages, you may remove the "fansites" from the Tennessee Titans page. I'm not removing any myself because I believe they have a place. Thanks. - BillCJ 05:50, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for leaving the Radio network. I've checked the site for http://www.titansinsiders.com (Titans Insiders website and magazine). It is published by http://www.scout.com/3/company.html, and is associated with Foxsports dot com. I don't think that qualifes as a fansite, but I'll let you look it over first. The other 3 are either fan sites, or something with an agenda to push, not coverage of the team. - BillCJ 22:40, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

OK, I'm fine leaving it off them. - BillCJ 23:26, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Marquise Hill

I recently wrote a paragraph about his death in the 200-present section, which was moved to the 2007 season page. Do you think it should be copied back, or at least have a link to it? Thanks for all your hard work on the pats page--Gingerbreadmann 11:42, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Eagles staff template

You gave no reason for reverting my addition to the Template:Philadelphia Eagles staff. Additionally, that nutrion consultant is listed on the eagles official site, on the very coaching staff page that the Philadelphia Eagles staff template links to. I believe this is a valid wiki-edit. Bjewiki 21:14, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

No, not the coaches secretary. The Eagles list 19 people on their official "Coaches" page. 18 of them are on the wikipedia page, i'm adding the 19th. One more revert, and you'll be subject to the 3-revert rule. Bjewiki 21:22, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Furthermore, who decides who goes on there? I'll tell you, i'm and Eagles fan, and for instance Rick Burkholder (their Head Athletic Trainer) has a heck of a lot more name recognition than about 11 of those coaches listed. Bjewiki 21:22, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
