Talk:Pattison Outdoor Advertising

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is blatant advertising. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a hypertext version of the yellow pages. Shame on you.

If you have a problem with it, fix it. The article contains a lot of useful historical information on a Canadian company that has been around for almost 100 years. Taxee 23:47, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm not obligated to "fix it". Please read the guidelines in the db-spam tag before reverting the edit (now reinstated). Futnuh 22:26, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Actually, while this page does constitute "[b]latant advertising", that alone isn't a sufficient condition for speedy deletion. I therefore apologize for inserting this tag. I do, however, think the page would need significant changes to become encyclopedic. And pointing this out in no way obligates me to undertake the task. Futnuh 22:47, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Keep the advertising, but let's start a section on illegal and intrusive adverts, as well as a section on Jim Pattisons editorial policy, which includes refusing safer sex ads.
