[edit] very much a stub

It may have been unwise to touch this article, which was and certainly remains more about the minor leagues in organized baseball than about the man. The cited article at Minor League News is a bad one and this "biography" reflected it too heavily, now remedied, but there isn't enough minor league historical material at Wikipedia, maybe not on the web, to do a good job of it --the minor leagues/o.b. part. Of course, there is more on the Eastern League during Powers' time and on the two major league teams he managed. --P64 02:33, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
