What is this about Cash's wife being the 'Neo-Geo Baseball Champion'. Is this true?

I've seen an article about him in a British heavy metal magazine (Kerrang!). Apparently he's played guitar in a rock band with John McEnroe, doing cover versions of classic rock songs by Led Zeppelin and others. Can anyone confirm this?
