[edit] early notes

There is some speculation as to where Pat Buttram spent his formative years. I am from a small town in Alabama called Altoona, and many people around this area that i have spoken to, believe that at least some part of his life was spent in this little town. I have no hard facts as of yet, but i've even heard some people go as far to show me where he once "lived" here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wxmatt82 (talk • contribs) 05:17, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Pat Buttram served his country during WWII. I remember seeing footage of WWII and a solder was explaining what had occured in combat. That solder was Pat Buttram. If I remember correctly he was a member of a Tank unit fighting in the European theater of operations, but since my memory is going back over 50 years I can't be 100% sure. However he was in the war and that was him giving an explanation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.155.110.74 (talk) 18:53, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
