Patricia Cullen (1951-1991 [1]) was the Canadian-born composer of the music scores for the original Care Bears movie trilogy of the 1980s. She also wrote the music for Unfinished Business (1984), the Oscar-nominated documentary After the Axe (1982) and Rock and Rule (1983). Patricia was also a member of the Toronto New Wave band Rough Trade. She died suddenly in 1991 while in Toronto investigating her business manager who was allegedly embezzling from her.[citation needed]
Patricia's legacy lives on through Pappa D's Recording Studio in Carrying Place, Ontario, Canada. Sean Doyle, owner/engineer of Pappa D's was Patricia's nephew. A portrait of Patricia hangs in the entrance of the studio in her honour.
