What is the point of this category? What are the criteria for inclusion? Is it for anyone who donates money for the arts? I don't get it. Any clues would be appreciated. thanks --Keeves 14:27, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, for literature, not all "the arts". At certain times and places, such people have had great influence on what is written and what is read. You don't like? Andrew Dalby 19:26, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
No, I have no real objection to this category. I'm just surprised that so few are in it. If it is truly significant, then there should be people who can add to it. At the very least, the person who started it should've had 5-10 names to begin with. --Keeves 22:14, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Fair enough. I started it (I think) and added only about 4-5 to it. I'll flesh it out. Andrew Dalby 10:33, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
