I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the notable alumni. I went to a way better school and there aren't as many household names as by school. Who can beat a school that David Lee Roth, the founder of Winchells, and the assassin of RFK? very eclectic

Let's not forget Van Halen. Oh, and how's your school (or any for that matter) better than PCC ;)--Folksong 05:31, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] JACKIE ROBINSON

Does anyone know what sports, if any, Robinson played in during his short attendance at PCC? FB 4/10/2006

According to the school's records he lettered in the four major sports: Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Track and Field. BassBone (my talk · my contributions) 05:50, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Conversion to a Four Year University?

I've overheard several conversations where people are saying that there are either plans or proposals to convert PCC into a four-year university. Is there any truth to these plans or are they just rumors? I am trying to find a source for this information but have come up short.70.239.150.72 21:22, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

I don't think that will be happening anytime soon. In East LA, PCC is like the college to go to when you're out of luck. A lot of high school graduates just hop on here, either to get an AA or to transition to a four-year university after two years at PCC. Also, despite the fact that this community college is in Pasadena, it's not exactly wealthy. Saying they have plans to turn PCC into a four-year university is like saying McDonald's plans to change it so that all their workers have Bachelor's degrees as a requirement to work there. Nobody would come, and despite how popular the place is, people wouldn't be able to come and it'd go downhill. ― 金魚花火 21:20, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] PCC OR GCC???

I've heard that Gcc has a higher transferring rate than Pcc. But does it matter? It's hard to decide between the two. Which one would you guys prefer? Benefites? Differences? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.17.14.27 (talk) 05:07, 25 April 2007 (UTC).

This is the place to discuss the article. It is not a forum about the school. Pairadox 07:50, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lancers

does anyone if Lancers comes from the Californio Lancers who fought the US and were in the area? Saltysailor (talk) 17:24, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] John Kerry speech

The comments by John Kerry had nothig to do with PCC. They are fully covered in John Kerry#Controversy over comments on Iraq and education. Aside may a link in "See also", I don't see the need to have material on it in this article. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 22:31, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
