Pasărea Colibri

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pasărea Colibri (Colibri Bird) was a Romanian folk music band. Its members included Mircea Baniciu (vocals, guitar), Marius Batu and Vladi Cnejevici (keyboard). Former members of the band are Florian Pittiş (vocals) and Mircea Vintilă (vocals, guitar).

The band formed in 1992 in the Romanian city of Râmnicu Vâlcea, while the members met on stage and decided to play together. In 2000, Florian Pittiş chose not to appear on stage anymore, and he was replaced by Marius Batu. Pasărea Colibri was disbanded in 2003, when Mircea Vintilă decided to start a solo career.

Pasărea Colibri was one of the few Romanian bands that claimed to have fans in all age categories.
