In late 2002, PAS/CAL's debut EP The Handbag Memoirs met critical success [1] with attention to finely tuned detail, clever lyrical references and an upbeat though melancholic pop polish. The lead song The Bronze Beached Boys (Come On Let's Go) found its way to television through a commercial for the Saturn Vue.

A follow up EP entitled Oh Honey, We're Ridiculous was released in early 2004, expanding the group's size to seven members. The instrumental Bem, Please Come Home was licensed to Sprint for a television advertising campaign. Bem was also the musical highlight of an episode of the Fox television program Malcolm in the Middle.

The final EP of the trilogy, Dear Sir, was released on November 7, 2006. The debut LP, I Was Raised On Matthew, Mark, Luke & Laura, will be released on July 22, 2008 on indie label Le Grand Magistery.
