[edit] Summary
This image, Passing_Show_Hound_of_Death_advert.jpg is being uploaded here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (JohnTomlinson) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because the use of a single page to illustrate an article discussing the book in question is allowed. The image has been scanned by myself from a facsimile held in my possession and is a reduced quality image. The photographer's name is not known. This scan is purely for linking to the Wikipedia article on the novel The Hound of Death by Agatha Christie to illustrate the unique nature by which the public in 1933 could purchase the book and no other use should be made of it.
[edit] Licensing
This image is of a poster, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher or the creator of the work depicted. It is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of posters
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. |
