Brent Fair, founder of Paraex Research Foundation in Columbus, Ohio is an official original member of the TAPS Family. TAPS, short for the Atlantic Paranormal Society is the most popular paranormal research team in the United States and currently (as of 2006) stars in the hit Sci Fi Channel television series Ghost Hunters.
Brent has been investigating claims of the paranormal for more than 9 years in the central Ohio region and abroad. Brent has served as a volunteer for the Ohio State University Radio Astronomy program (SETI), is an affiliate member of several paranormal organizations and has receieved numerous awards for his work in the paranormal ghost hunting community. Brent has also served as an official TAPS message forum moderator and also runs the Paraex forum as well.

Brent is also the only paranormal investigator to be featured on Loren Coleman's "Mothman Death List". The Deathlist is a compiled listing of deaths thought to be mysteriously associated with the Mothman incidents of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Brent's mother, Susan Wilcox, allegedly had one of the most latest encounters with the "Mothman" in 2001 and mysteriously passed away from an extremely rare brain tumor, thought to be due in part from her experiences. Brent Fair has recently finished a book about his mothers modern day Mothman encounters.
In the fall of 2006 Brent Fair launched a new online store called Ghost Gear (http://www.ghosthuntinggear.com) that features new and innovative technologies for use in the ghost hunting arena.
