They AREN'T speculating - this is an encyclopedia - ONLY fact can be written here (yes FACT about FICTIONAL CHARACTERS). No speculation. For example: Wesker is a white guy = fact. "This element, or concept in the story could lead up and explain why Wesker is on to "The Organazition" = SPECULATION.

"As for my names being in the entries, I believe even Wikipedia has a feature where you can sign your name. Would rather have me do that for every, little editing I do, or entry? I think not."

You aren't following. You CANNOT sign your name ON THE ARTICLE PAGE, when you make an edit your name is automatically applied to the edit on the HISTORY page.

"I have viewed at the help page for editing and the guidelines as well, but the guidelinds state "In a nutshell". Meaning, that you may write anything you like about the character in this seclection as long as if it's about with the character and the theories about the character do not go off the character."

Only FACT. This is an encyclopedia, not a collection of dubious theories. Everything must have a source that can be verfied by others.

With this mentality you will be eventually banned from editing the site. Again, read the HELP SECTIONS. I know you say your English isn't great, so please try and understand the rules before you edit further articles. Once again, this is a place for FACT, not speculative theories, do not add your name to the article itself, and ONLY write in NEUTRAL voice - that is, you cannot write "I think," or "I believe," or "post your theories here" etc. etc. etc. Parjay 16:04, 6 September 2006 (UTC)


ShadowFox S.T.A.R.S.: Ok... Well, I do see your points, but there no need to become upset about it. (big text, yelling) It can be changed, etc. My comprehension of English is just fine. I just have trouble with using correct English and Grammar when I write and I am also not the best speller, neither am I the best typer but that doesn't mean I am not capable or intelligent. I am okay with living with these flaws for the meantime. Yes, I have the metality to write what is on my mind, but when it comes to reference articles, I usually do not write about a subject without some real research, or I do not come up with conclusions (theories) without some real resources.

As you stated before, I understand now that it's suppose be of "fact" only, like the example you have given me. "Wesker is white". I will take the blame of not viewing the guildlines completely. But there are many contradictions on Wesker's page. Sometimes, you can't always count on fact to fill in the holes for you. You got to come to a determination when to use your own judgement, such as reading a book and believing everything in it, or using your own brain, and you can't always refer back to the subject if the internet does not provide the proof. Somethings are found only offline. But as for using facts on the pages, you can count on it as being a rule here, which should be followed and which I will respect. :P I am still new here, so bare with me until I have gotten the hang to using the features on Wikipedia.

Leon Kennedy trivia

Regarding Leon's entry into Raccoon City. It wouldn't really matter whether his teammates had already been killed or not, they would probably still allow access to police officers to assist the military units if only to advise on locations and layout. Besides, Leon enters the scene several days after the outbreak begins, any form of partying going on seems very unlikely. Gamer Junkie 16:10, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Well it seems unlikely that Leon would be doing any partying or indeed anything of any normality while his unit is being destroyed on the streets. I know he wasn't in Raccoon City, but surely he would have been called in to assist as soon as the shit hit the fan, right?

By the way, The archives where written by fans weren't they? Don't they also state that S.T.A.R.S. was established in 1968 or something? Seems Capcom isn't overly concerned with how things are run over there, eh? Gamer Junkie 09:29, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

He was reporting to the RPD for his first day on the job, he would have gotten assignments then.

Code: Veronica

Hey, just wondering, but what's exactly wrong with the plot summary in the Resident Evil Code: Veronica article. I've tried shortening it up, but you keep adding the plot tag at the top of the page. I don't see anything wrong with it, especially comparing it to the plot summary of Metal Gear Solid (which is a good article by Wikipedia standards). Jonny2x4 04:53, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

As written at the moment, it has no real-world writing perspective but rather simply states the entire plot. Simplicity and concise rather than cruft; a short synopsis encompassing the whole is more acceptable than a scene by scene write up. Parjay 14:03, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

S.T.A.R.S. fact

I didn't write the section regarding the observation of S.T.A.R.S. members not requiring basic law-enforcement experience, although I'm fairly certain that the editor is likely referring to both Rebecca Chambers and Leon Kennedy being accepted into elite organisations fresh from their academy completion. Neither had any actual field experience before joining either S.T.A.R.S. or the S.P.F. I don't know how you'd go about sourcing this, though. Gamer Junkie 16:38, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Don't complain to me when a. you're the only one in the world that doesn't know it, and b. you can be bothered editing an article, but can't be bothered tying "re on psp" in google to contribute yourself. Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles

TheHorrorIsAlive is actually a very accurate site when it comes to Japanese translations. Wikipedia's policies do not explicitly state that fan sites are unreliable sources. You can either keep the information provided from THIA or you can delete any new information from the Famitsu article because it are all just amateur translations from NeoGAF adopted by various sites. Again, fan sites on the subject just aren't reliable sources, regardless of the accuracy of translations in the past, as they are "Self-published sources". The Famitsu article in reality is actually translated well, but that's not the point - only facts can be written on the Encyclopaedia, from a reliable source. There is no actual reason for deleting the rest of the Famitsu article information as it is verified and posted on the usual professional game news sites. That much is verified. When the rest of the information becomes properly verifiable, please post up your contribution again. Parjay 12:11, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Resident Evil article (reference citations)

Just delete the stuff that you've requested citation for. I was only trying to make it sound better by more thoroughly explaining what it meant and, although it's all true, I really can't be arsed looking for references from over a decade ago. Dead Rising

In response to a help request at Help talk:Merging and moving pages, I posted the following message. Dead Rising is an action adventure game exclusively for the Xbox 360. The game focuses on the exploits of Frank West, a fictional character and photojournalist from the video game Dead Rising. The image of Frank West comes from real life actor T.J. Rotolo. The article Dead Rising is well referenced. The only references for the Frank West are to the real life actor T.J. Rotolo. The merger guideline states that "If a page is very short and is unlikely to be expanded within a reasonable amount of time, it often makes sense to merge it with a page on a broader topic." The noted proposal is to merge Frank West into Dead Rising. This seems to make sense. The Frank West page is very short, and none of its content is verifiable. Much of the content seems to repeat what already is in Dead Rising. The Frank West article originated on August 15, 2006 and is unlikely to be expanded within a reasonable amount of time since no references have surfaced since that time. Battling over this issue is not the best way to resolve this matter. Wikipedia:Proposed mergers is available to solicit outside feedback regarding mergers (particularly those of a controversial nature). -- Jreferee 15:23, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

For one, it was encyclopaedic; it was written poorly, and you didn't source it for another matter. Secondly, it was part speculation. This was stated on the edit summary, if you failed to see that. Thirdly, knock of the tone. Parjay 20:40, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
